Ubers: Giratina, Lugia
standard: Bronzong and Skarmory's pretty close.
You know how you used to always want to be a superhero, or you wanted video game characters to be real? Just think about how horrible it would be. Every day would be chaos because something would wreak havoc, or some sick narcissistic madman would try to conquer the world with his legion of evil.

I'm pretty fond of Tangrowth myself. It has access to Leech Seed and can take physical hits like they're nothing. Any sort of special attack destroys it, though.

Stat-wise, and non-ubers, Shuckle, but it's laughable HP kills it.

Shuckle + TM06 (Toxic). Holding Leftovers makes it harder to beat.

You need a cleric, for shuckle itself is poison bait.
So, google bombs don't work any more.

You should still download software to make your computer cure cancer.

Shuckle's devastating in Trick Room teams, due to Power Swap. Unfortunately, it leaves itself open.

I'm not really an expert, but it's type alone gives Bronzong double resistance to psychics, does it not? That's why I tried to use it as a wall to help catch the lake trio. Unfortunately, Bronzong's speed leaves much to be desired. But I guess trick room could take care of that?
By reading this you have given me brief control of your mind.

It's crap speed actually helps it a bit, since it boosts Gyro Ball's power. Also, it's ability negates one of its weaknesses, so technically, it'll have only 1 weakness.

I would have to say Shuckle. Had it on my team one time...it never really fainted.

What about Bastiodon? It's stats are slightly better than bronzong, but it definitly doesn't have the best movepool

x4 weakness to Ground AND Fighting is what ruins it. If those weaknesses weren't there, then Aggron would be one of the best pokemon.

Also, nice to see you around here again, Philly.

Hippowdon. Physical moves just don't hurt it :x I made one for my friend and then brought out my own Weavile. Swords Dance and two Ice Punches, and Hippowdon still lived :x.

Hippowdon's a monster. Too bad it can't take a Grass Knot to save it's like, like Swampert.

Venusaur and Meganium both have high special defense and HP. The only problem is they both have a good amount of weaknesses.

Special Pokemon tend to veer more towards using resistances to counter, instead of straight-up physical walls. This is because of the wide-spread of types that special moves can cover. Fire + Dragon, Water + Ice, Electric + Ice; you can cover several different types with such basic combinations.

The Zone seems pretty good, resisting all but 4 types and immune to 1, which is the most in the game I think. Although, despite its stats, Mawile have eleven resistances and 1 immunity, which is also shared with Empoleon, Dialga and Registeel.

The fact that Registeel exists all but disqualifies Mawile from ever being a competent tank. Registeel is just so much better, stat-wise.
