Oh I just remembered something, if you took a bunch of metapods/kakuna, duct-taped them together and made them use harden alot, you could make a suit of lightweight, nearly indestructable, armor!

Use a Bronzor buckler with Flameproof and have it use Light Screen/Reflect

Anyway, my friends and I were actually having this conversation a while back! If I recall, these were some of the answers:

Pidgeot or Arcanine - he liked the idea of flying or running really fast, I think. And they're FLUFFY! (I thought of Arcanine for him, because he couldn't think of any four-legged Pokeymans that were fluffy except for Entei, and we were saying no ubers.)
Machamp - because it has four arms. (I don't know.)
Dugtrio - make subways. become RICH. (This from the same dude who thought of Machamp.)
On that note, one guy was saying we should get Pokemon that can help with building and environmenting and stuff: don't think we had anything specific in mind there, but there were some cool ideas a few pages back.

Me, I'm not sure: I'd like something small, I think, because the issue of governments capturing our Pokemon eventually cropped up, assuming we're the only ones with Pokemon. If it's midget I can hide it easier, right? And it'd be cute to boot!
On top of all this, maybe I'd want it to be able to get me to secluded places. Like rooftops. I like rooftops.

Yes cute pokemon are good, but about your friends' idea of riding a pidgeot, it can move up to speeds of mach 2, so I would define my desired speed than just saying "go really fast" you would probably lose your grip and saw half your body off on the ground from the intense speed.

Now when I think about it, there's more uses for a Ditto than this, but let's say you pass someone at school one day. You say "hi", he says "hi", nobody thinks twice about it.
Five seconds later HE SEES YOU PASS IN THE SAME DIRECTION. You say "hi", he says "hi...?" and well maybe you went in a circle or something, no big deal for sure.

Then at lunchtime, you're talking to him, and your Ditto walks past in the background.

well, the problem with ditto is that you will lose every time you play hide and seek, plus it can only use transform a few times so you'd probably have to buy a few pp ups and/or max elixers. I'd want a vulpix, I mean, EVERYONE thinks they're cute, they are very protective and they have really soft fur.
