Some pokedex entries are pretty sick. A lot of pokemon actually eat other pokemon, or even humans! (in Pokemon Adventures(one of the manga), Victreebel have a ceremony where they stab a captive pokemon with their vines and drain it of its blood so they can give it to the little Bellsprout so they can evolve). Cacturne also hunt humans in the desert night.

Roserade whip their prey to death before they eat.
Vibrava use Supersonic with their wings to paralyze their prey before regurgitating their stomach acids on them to make them easier to eat.
Carvanha and Sharpedo hunt in packs to tear anything that comes near them apart.
Not exactly hunting, but Froslass kill lost humans in blizzards by freezing them with Powder Snow.

So, yeah, the Pokemon World's more dangerous and scary than you'd think.
