AGAIN, Yache berry HALVES ice damage and both of them are slower than Chomp.
You know how you used to always want to be a superhero, or you wanted video game characters to be real? Just think about how horrible it would be. Every day would be chaos because something would wreak havoc, or some sick narcissistic madman would try to conquer the world with his legion of evil.

If you specifically want to kill this Garchomp. Which is what this thread is all about.

Maybe if there were only two pokemon in the entire game yes, but even if this is about killing garchomp the other trainer still has 5 other pokemon...

Ah shit. Wrong thread. Sorry.

The problem with Garchomp isn't that you can't take it down easily, it's that you have to sacrifice an otherwise useful team member to do so. If you don't have a Pokemon dedicated to taking Garchomp down and one shows up, then you won't be able to kill it without a lot of trouble.

Garchomp's so ridiculously tough that people dedicate half of their team to taking it down.

Just use Ice Type moves. That works for me.

Please note: MissingNo. is NOT the only glitch in existence, and does nothing to the game at all. (other than mess up Hall Of Fame data, but who cares about that?)

I could take it down with one shot. However, it only works if I get lucky with wobbuffet. If we are playing in the UBER environment, then there shouldn't be a problem.

I can't see why Wobbuffet is an uber!

I think we explained this to you before Philly. But the reason is that it has relatively high health, and decent defenses. Those things combined with the ability to counter any physical or non physical move (and a decent amount of knowledge of the opponent pokemon's stats, and available move pool). And if it cannot win with its counter moves, it can use destiny bond.
Essentially the four moves that it can learn are the only thing that it will ever need.

Another pokemon that can pwn Garchomp: RATTATA!

Rattata can actually beat Garchomp, basically any Pokemon, if it's used right. Give a level 1 Rattata a Focus Sash/Band. Make sure it knows Quick Attack & Endeavor.
Garchomp uses EQ!
Rattata hold on to its Focus Band!
Rattata uses Endeavor!
Rattata uses Quick Attack!
Rattata is the winner!

Too bad that fairly common strategy fails if the opponent sees it coming at any point, or has a priority move of their own.

If only Rattata could learn Extreme Speed...

Umm, Extreme Speed doesn't have priority over other priority moves. It just hits harder.
