I was in Wayward cave helping out Mira just a few minutes ago from when I posted this. When I entered a battle, Mira turned into Youngster Mickey, with a level 5 Rattata. I went on the web and checked it out, and people have said it's a bad/hacked ROM. However, I'm not using a rom on a flashcart or an emulator - also, no cheats. I am using an actual cartridge that my brother bought today.

The reason I'm posting about it here is that, if I'm not mistaken, youngster mickey was either the first or second trainer you fight in pokemon gold/silver/crystal (Excluding the rival battle), and he had a level 5 rattata. If this is the case, is it safe to assume that the data for HG & SS is in the platinum game? Or at least a little bit of it is there? And also, does this mean that, near the beginning of HG/SS, you can tag up with Mickey?

It's amazing what you can find in these games! I'll get a video on YouTube sometime, if there isn't already a video on it.

nope - had my DS on sleep mode since last night, and the same thing happened this morning. Then, I turned it off and back on again, to see if I could reset it. No Luck - still battling with Mickey.

I wish I had a better recording device. I have used no cheats, and this is the actual game, not a rom on an emulator or a flashcart. I can't stress that enough, because everyone I've told thinks I hacked it. Any questions, please ask here.

Bootleg game? No one else has reported this. Maybe someone messed with your game using an Action Replay?

Anyways, Mikey had a Lv. 2 Pidgey and Lv. 4 Ratatta in GSC.

My idea was that something went wrong and they accidently incoded HG and SS software into his game.

I doubt Nintendo even had plans for HG/SS when they released D/P.

@ hotmedal: unless someone imbedded an AR code into the game, no AR codes have been used.

@ Dusknoir44: That's a possibility. However, as hotmedal said, Mikey had a pidgey and a rattata. If your idea is true, maybe they added in the wrong name. Who knows.

@ Komepelu: This isn't D/P. It's Platinum. And, it was bought only a week ago, so it's pretty recent. However, that doesn't mean that it's different from any other platinum, so who knows. Maybe all platinums have this, and somehow I was able to activate it.
