Well, I don't want to HM/TM whore my starter so I try to avoid giving it cut etc. Thats what Golducks for XD. Its level 30 now anyway so I'm thinking about this for Torterra

~leaf Storm
~Earthquake
~Solar Beam
~? (Possibly superpower)

I would use a physical move like wood hammer or razorleaf instead of leaf storm or solar beam, and use a heart scale to get curse back on, but I'm stubborn. Strength works fine for in game challenges (power of 80 is actually usefull), but Bite has good type coverage and is replaced with crunch later on. I don't know how to get Superpower in Pearl...
So, google bombs don't work any more.

How's this team?
Electabuzz-Magnet
~Thunderbolt
~Discharge
~Signal Beam
~Strength
Magmar-Charcoal
~Flamethrower
~Lava Plume
~Rock Climb
~Faint Attack
Tyranitar-...(that item that lets ground attacks hit flyers.i forgot what its called)
~Dark Pulse
~Earthquake
~Hyper Beam
~Stone Edge
Dusknoir-Black Glasses
~Shadow punch
~Will'o'Wisp
~Curse
~Mean look
Dragonite-King's Rock
~Dragon Claw
~Brick Break
~Fly
~Wing Attack
Not sure about my 6th pokemon yet i'm thinking of Glalie because I love Glalie!
I based this team off my favorite pokemon of my favorite types and the HMs were already there so i plan on removing them. Just a side note, I might change Electabuzz to Pikachu because I love Pikachu but I overuse Pikachu so i'm not sure...
So what's your opinion guys?
Edit:
And also right now i gave Tyranitar a power anklet to train his speed because he's so slow.

For Electivire get rid of Discharge and give it an elemental punch, but NOT thunderpunch. For Mgmortar get rid of Lava Plume and give it an elemental punch but not fire punch. For Tyranitar get rid of Dark Pulse and teach it Crunch. Dusknoir is good just get rid of the blackglasses and give it a spooky plate. For Drgonite get rid of Dragon Claw and give it Dragon Rush, and get rid of Fly and give it the third elemental punch that you didn't give to the Electivire or Magmortar. May I suggest a bug Pokemon as your sixth?
OVerall though, your team is good, but too aggressive. Make sure you train speed Evs as well as attack/special attack. Make sure 1 to 2 of those Pokemon are treated as tanks (especially Dusknoir. 3.5 stars

I wouldn't use Strength when Return can be much better if you're willing to put a little more effort into your team.

Well, with Frustration you still have to put the effort in for most Pokemon. Frustration is also harder to maintain, as you have to constantly try and make the Pokemon hate you to balance out the happiness gain from walking and battling.

Well, I was thinking about making a platinum team, but before I do, would anyone like to rate it?

I'd be interested in what the team would be like. Go ahead and post your ideas.

I would enjoy helping out as well, it's been a while since this thread has been used.

I'm saddened that the thread is not being used, so I'm going to put up my POTENTIAL team. Not all of these Pokemon are "made" yet.
Blaziken: Adamant @Choice Band
Flare Blitz
Superpower
Stone Edge
Earthquake
standard 252/4/252

Sceptile: Modest or Timid @CHoice Specs
LEaf Storm
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dragon Pulse
again standard sweeper

Electivire: Lonely @Expert Belt
ThunderPunch
Flamethrower
Cross Chop
I want Ice Punch, but it is hard 2 get so I might have EQ
Mixed Sweeper, and EVs will be setr accordingly

BULKY Gyarados: Adamant @I play under item clause so I'm not sure yet
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Toxic
Stone Edge
gonna spread out EVs all over the place, gonna be like my tank.

Skarmory: Impish @Shod shell or whateverr it is
Drill Peck
Roost
Spikes
Roar
252 HP/something attack/ and like a 230 something Defense

Bronzong or Snorlax, what do you think?

Obviously, I need to ask what kind of environment you're playing in, but other than that, let me go down the list.

Quote:
Blaziken: Adamant @Choice Band
Flare Blitz
Superpower
Stone Edge
Earthquake
standard 252/4/252

Why Blaziken over Infernape? Granted, Blaziken will hit harder, but Infernape has a lot of speed that can be of better use, especially if you're going Adamant nature. The fact that Superpower lowers your attack power doesn't lead it to be very good for consecutive Choice Bands. You may want to consider the weaker Sky Uppercut and replace Earthquake with Brave Bird. Earthquake's utility against electric types is fine, but few of them are strong enough to survive Flare Blitz in the first place.

Quote:
Sceptile: Modest or Timid @CHoice Specs
LEaf Storm
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dragon Pulse
again standard sweeper

Standard, but not that good. Sceptile is too easily shutdown by Pokemon that resist Grass and Dragon Pulse, even with Choice Specs, isn't going to hit that hard. I think you'd get further with the Subseed strategy, especially if you're going to be using Skarmory.

Quote:
Electivire: Lonely @Expert Belt
ThunderPunch
Flamethrower
Cross Chop
I want Ice Punch, but it is hard 2 get so I might have EQ
Mixed Sweeper, and EVs will be setr accordingly

There's no point in Flamethrower. You'd get much more mileage out of Thunderbolt, Ice Punch and Earthquake. If you're going to use special attacks, you want it to be off your STAB.

Quote:
BULKY Gyarados: Adamant @I play under item clause so I'm not sure yet
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Toxic
Stone Edge
gonna spread out EVs all over the place, gonna be like my tank.

If you're going to use Dragon Dance, you don't want Toxic. The two styles don't work well with each other. Taunt is popular, but I prefer Return, just for the solid hit. Earthquake would be good, too, otherwise Empoleon will completely shut you down, type-wise.

Quote:
Skarmory: Impish @Shod shell or whateverr it is
Drill Peck
Roost
Spikes
Roar
252 HP/something attack/ and like a 230 something Defense

Whirlwind is superior to Roar. Certain Pokemon are immune to sound (i.e. Electrode, Exploud), so it's best not to risk it. Stealth Rock is easier to set up than Spikes and takes less time (and is more effective against more Pokemon).

What's the central theme to this team? It feels you just took a bunch of strong Pokemon and stuck them together, but they don't seem to work together very well. And Snorlax would suit this team better.

I hate Infernape.......
I never thought of Subseed, so I might try it. I really wanted to make use of Sceptile's monstrous stats though.
About Skarmory: when I was breeding I forgot to get Whirlwind, and no way am I gonna do it again.
Thanks for all your tips, I will probably make most of the changes you suggested.

Rain Dance is a very popular strategy for Doubles, so when you're making a team, make sure you have a couple of counters in place since there's a high potential for 'mirror matches'. Be prepared, especially, for Toxicroak.

Won't comment on EVs because it's been a while since I've really studied them. I've forgotten what most of the standard stats work out to, and I really don't feel like doing the necessary research. Anyways, it appears your strategy is to setup Rain Dance with Bronzong, then explode. The only problem with this strategy is that Jolteon is the only one that knows Protect and if you're forced to use it before Bronzong is ready to explode, then you've wasted a move and potentially a Pokemon. I wouldn't use Explosion unless your team is a little more prepared for it. Likewise, there isn't a lot of switchings in 2s, at least not as much as there is in singles. Stealth Rock isn't quite so useful.

Quote:
2.
Jolteon @ Wise Glasses 4 HP, 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd
-Thunder
-Protect
-Wish
-Hyper Beam

This, I don't much like. Jolteon is not a good 2s Pokemon; he's far too frail. Hyper Beam is just setting him up for failure. Wish is good in theory, but not in practice.

Quote:
3.
Kingdra @ Choice Specs 4 HP, 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Dragon Pulse
-Thunder

Call me old fashioned, but Kingdra can't learn Thunder. Ignoring that, Choice Specs is not that good in 2s, as you have limited opportunities to switch. If you want the power, go with Life Orb, but you need the flexibility.

Quote:
4.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers 112 HP, 112 Def, 252 Sp Def, 32 Sp Atk
-Aqua Ring
-Acid Armor
-Hydro Pump
-Rain Dance

Vaporeon is a tank, but you need to be able to kill with it as well. You can only stall so long before you'll lose. You need a more reliable move than Hydro Pump. If you want support, I suggest Helping Hand.

XD oh, those two comments are golden.
You know how you used to always want to be a superhero, or you wanted video game characters to be real? Just think about how horrible it would be. Every day would be chaos because something would wreak havoc, or some sick narcissistic madman would try to conquer the world with his legion of evil.
