I like doompaths idea very much. However, swampert is OHKO suseptible making him kind of a bust. I'd choose a 'mon that is tough to OHKO and keep a lot of hyper potions on hand.

Do you guys want to see my proto-type team?

I'm interested in seeing your team. You haven't put one up in a while. I've been wanting to see what kind of strategies you've come up with.

Same here. Only reason my team's not up, and I do have a new one, is because I'm going to use it during the tournament.

Also, with swampert - with the givens IV's and nature, its only weakness, grass, is basically nullified; this makes it hard to be KO'd. The only improvement that I see could be made to swampert is to give it cosmic power instead of curse, which will obviously never happen.

Let's see the undefeated team. If it really is undefeated, I want to see what pokemon, and moves, that you have used to make it undefeated.

I've tested a few of my teams against each other, but no matter who or what I battled, this lineup never won. Can I get some help or suggestions?

Azelf - Naive - Focus Sash
Explosion
Fire Blast
Psychic
Stealth Rock

Scizor - Adamant - Expert Belt
U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Roost

Infernape - Hasty - Life Orb
Close Combat
Fire Blast
Grass Knot
Hidden Power ICE 70

no offense but i can see why ^^.

Honestly, i'd substitue azelf for Alakazam if possible. If not Get rid of explosion and maybe get a ghost type move (if that is possible) To me explosion seems like a waste of a pokemon and it wont do that much damage =/ I don't know how much damage stealth rock will do either.

Roost on scizor is useless since it doesn't fly...(unless the game counts it as flying, correct me if im wrong)and i'd reccomend steel wing over bullet punch and maybe even get rid of U-turn and substitute a fighting move.

Infernape needs EQ to be affective, i'd put it in where grass knot is. And one question, how does Hidden power work on him? never used it personally.

Make these changes i guarentee atleast 1 win, unles your fighting me of course ;)

This team, as you can tell by azelf, infernape, and pursuit/bullet punch, is for speed and hard hits. Hidden Power works actually qute well on him, since I've EV trained him in mostly Sp. Atk., and it gets rid of weaknesses in my team. Now that I look over the team, I'm beggining to see flaws myself. (And to think at one point I thought it was flawless!)

This is just one of my teams, this being one of 3 that are actually complete. The biggest problem for this team was trick room and heatran, so i'll revise it and, eventually, post all the revisions here, to see what you guys think.

Thanks for helping me spot these flaws, Dusknoir44.

First off I'd like to see your anti-tank team. This way we really can figure out if the other team is an unbeatable team, during the tournament.

Secondly here is one of my teams...

Kangaskhan/Adamant/Scrappy
Return
Earthquake
Crush Claw
Sucker Punch

Metagross/Adamant/Clear Body
Earthquake
Brick Break
Meteor Mash
Zen Headbutt

Absol/Adamant/Super Luck
Sucker Punch
Night Slash
Stone Edge
Psycho Cut

I realize that there are problems with this team, like Metagross for example, I can't recall the move set I had originally intended for him. I do believe that I had written it down, but that got thrown away some how.

The number one mandatory move for scrappy: FAKE OUT!!! even if it's weak, it hits ghosts, and nullifies focus sash. What to get rid of for it, that's up to you, and what you want for your team.

The number 2 rule: DON'T USE ALL THE SAME KIND OF POKEMON! Even though you have different types, they ALL are attack based, and can easily be walled by skarmory, forretress, or even my scizor! Vary the team a bit!

The number 3 rule: STATUS MOVES! All you have are attack moves. No stat raising/lowering, no status moves, not even stealth rock! The only positive aspect of this is that taunt doesn't affect any of your pokemon, but that's about it!

If this is the team you are using for the tournament, you'll lose in minutes, if not seconds. If I seem like a jerk, it's because my brother is being stupid. God, I hate him...

I would not consider these suggestions; these are what needs to be done in order to keep your team alive long enough to cause a single KO.

For movesets, http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/ I use this site all the time.

hahah, that only looks good on paper, trust me...

Starmie is dead with a U-turn becuase i have fast move and unbelievable accuracy, weavile gets a steel wing, and lets say for fun that pidgeot faits. Nidoking finishes waevile with an earthpower and alakazam is OHKO'd by an e arthquake.

Maybe you want to spend a few more minutes?

Well, it depends on your EV's, Natures, etc.

Well, the one flaw to your strategy is your weakness to ice and your overconfidence in your speed; this is why I used speedy pokemon with ice moves. If my pokemon are faster than yours, it would be an easy win for me. Maybe if I adjust natures and EV's, it would be easier.

If starmie goes first (leftovers this time) and manages to outspeed your pidgeot (kind of easy to do, based on pidgeot's base 91 and Starmie's 115) it could easily kill it. With leftovers, it would probably be able to use rain dance, then an awesome surf or thunder.

Nidoking isn't the fastest thing in the world, and doesn't have the best defenses either. Any of these pokemon could outspeed it, and kill it in either 1 or 2 hits.

Dragonite - the only true threat in the team. Iron head isn't used often, and would only be good against weavile and alakazam's pathetic defense. If I get rid of the other 2 and leave you to keep using iron head on starmie, it would be an easy win. If starmie died, I would still probably have weavile and/or alakazam to obliterate dragonite.

Those pokemon aren't the fastest in the world, and they don't have the best stats either. Even if this isn't the order you will send them out, I can still easily beat them.

Sorry man - looks like your "unbeatable team" has been beaten. If I am wrong about anything, feel free to say; I am always open to suggestions with strategies. If there are none, let's see the other 3 pokemon, And I'll try to beat THEM.

HEY NOW! NO need to be hating! i actually kinda still like pokemon.....im still playing the games that you u suggest....and HELP YOU!

Good point about the Nidoking, but i got to agree with dusknoir with the fact that, with the right strategy, that team could obliterate most other teams that people use.
WOW! That's so interesting, that i got tired of reading it!

Well now someone is a little defensive ;) But on a serious note you have to remember that i have three more pokemon in my lineup, im intised to show them but i'd ruin my chances, just remember dude, paper is paper battling has a number of facotrs un accounted for. Base speed is great but so isn't fantasizing, you would actually need to use rain dance allowing for me to hit on a U-turn. Even with you OHKO'ing me next turn your still extremely voulnerable. Nidoking isn't about to be OHKO'd by a thunderbolt opening megahorn or earthpower. The truth is, we could sit here and play out 1,000,000 senarios but none of them will equal the real battle. So bring your best stuff kid, you'll need it.
posted at 05/28/09 02:13 -- 5 minutes, 26 seconds since previous post
You're right - paper is paper, and doesn't count for the battle. I'll just have to wait to beat your team when you get WIFI. Hopefully that's by the time of the tournament.
