- download http://silverex.info/download/xchat-2.6.8-1.exe
- install it
- add a network called Veekun with a server of irc.veekun.com
- connect to it
- /join #veekun or maybe there is a popup with a channel list I don't remember!

Someday I will probably begrudgingly do the whole step-by-step-with-screenshots thing, but this is seriously not complicated software. Fill in the fields and press buttons. The only weird thing is that to change the name of a network or a server in the server list, you have to click its name and a textbox appears.

Great, the only download they have for Mac OS X is binaries and I don't know how to get those to work, Guess I'll just have to stick with Opera's built in Irc client.

Here, I believe that version is free - unlike the official Windows build. They have a binary package and a source package via CVS.

Thanks Latiass, It works and It mean's I can switch back to firefox (I figured out how to get the spell checker to work on it the day you posted the IRC sirver and room in the shoutbox)

I use Colloquy.

I'll use any free program that works for whatever I'm doing.

It's a new channel and I've been working for forever. :|

I've had exams/studying for the last like, 2 weeks, and as such haven't been on IRC. But I have really no desire to get back on.. :| The people I REALLY want (nay, need) to talk to, I have on other messengers. Eventually, I will get back on. When I feel worthy enough to actually be there.

Its quiet there half of the time.

It's honestly not with me around. I kind of turn it into my personal chat box with Eevee. ^^; but of course, that's when no one else was really there, so if there are people in the chat room I probably won't do that anymore.
